A Little Bit About Me....

 

   

 

   Hi!.... My name is Ashley. This is my ninth year teaching at LaHarpe Elementary School. In my past years of teaching I have taught Kindergarten and first grade! The past four years I spent teaching third grade and I'm loving it! In 2012 I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University. 

   I grew up and graduated from Carthage High School in 2005.....Go Blueboys ;) I married my high school sweetheart Ben and we now have three boys! Yep, I'm surrounded by boys, even the dog and cat are boys! Caden is the oldest and is entering High School, Carson is eight who is a ball of energy and is in 3rd  grade, and Cody, the baby of the family, is now in 1st grade! Ben used to work in Colchester at McDonough Telephone Coopertive (MDTC), but he decide to make the switch to farming with his family at the family farm. He is loving it!

   Over the summer I spend most days home with my boys or taking them to ball practices or games! If I wasn't at home, I was at school working on getting my room and curriculum ready for the next school year.  

   Besides being with my babies, I love to be outdoors either planting flowers in my flower beds, playing with the dogs, turkey hunting, or shooting trap! My favorite summer activity is watching the boys play baseball!
